Synopsis:
Bad Apples is a web series surrounding a group of four artists in their late twenties, living in New York City, struggling to make their artistic dreams come true. It’s a tragedy…obviously. Unlike other New York-based comedies, Bad Apples takes a humorous look at the stark reality of how difficult it is to catch a break in the city that never sleeps. In the pilot season we meet and follow our vulgar crew through a typical day in the life. Kevin, the Off-off-off-Broadway actor, auditions for a part for which he couldn’t be more ill suited. Jimmy, a wayward filmmaker and part-time porn editor, desperately attempts to begin work on his documentary on a topic he knows nothing about, funding it through a job he despises. Charlie, a singer/song-writer/waitress, has a boy’s name, a mouth like a sailor, and spends most of her time seeking validation- not to mention, a boyfriend. Finally, Austin, a guy you love to have around but you’re not sure why, tags along for the ride as the consummate “backseat driver.
